OUR ITINERARY
The Road Trip
We depart from Cuisine Classique around  8 am Thursday morning. Continental breakfast will be served on board our premium SUV.
After a brief stop for our Visas in Nogales Sonora, we will head south
into Mexico. The route is scenic and interesting. We will visit the tomb
of Father Eusebio Kino in Magdalena de Kino and break for lunch there.
After lunch we will continue south to the state capital of Hermosillo
and about 65 miles later, arrive at our destination hotel, La Playa, on
the beach In Bahia de Kino Nuevo. After you are settled in, we
will enjoy a welcome cocktail party with drinks and hors de oeuvres

Wonderful Classes

Friday, after a leisurely Continental Breakfast
at your hotel, we will begin our classes.
On the beach of course!

Our first class is Knife Skills (Mexico style!)
The morning sessions will last about two hours
and conclude with lunch. Our classes are informal
with emphasis on learning to cook seafood and
enjoy it! Your participation is invited but if you prefer, you may just
watch. Most of our classes will be taught in a picturesque setting
on the beach at Islandia Marina or at our beach house.

We probably will be “interrupted” by the local fishermen
launching and returning in their Pangas at the nearby boat ramp.

Of course plenty of Free Time is planned each day too so you can
swim (the water is warm and clean) or take a walk on the beach,
or simply relax and enjoy the spectacular view of one of the
world’s most beautiful oceans. Keep an eye out for Dolphins
passing by in the mornings.

During our evening sessions we will prepare our recipes,
cook and then eat our dinner on the beach. Wine, beer and
soft drinks will be provided and bottled water is always available.
Mardi and Bob have planned treats such as Grilled fish and
fabulous Chile Rellenos stuffed with Shrimp and cheese,
and a wonderful battle of the soups, where we will create our
own version of Bouillabaise vs Siete de Mares.
(Seven Seas Soup)

We don't hold to an exact schedule simply because,
things change sometimes, and usually our guests have a
hard time stuffing in all the food! We try to "play it by ear"
and accommodate everyone. The emphasis is on having fun!

Sonora and Kino Bay are very safe areas

of Mexico. They are far away from and

generally unaffected by the political

disruption in the south.
