Biting History one meal at a time

Bob and I have been careening towards this day for several
years now. It starts with one of us having a brilliant idea about some
change we want to make to our home. It always seems so easy but.......
inevitably, the other guy has a little different idea or is just not ready
for the change. That's when it all begins. A little suggestion perhaps.
Test the waters....but don't rock the boat! There are so many choices,
the furniture, the surfaces (oh God, the surfaces) the colors, all those
CHOICES!   Maybe this, or.....maybe........if we just do that.
On it goes, sometimes (this time) for years! All the while, we have
been compiling great ideas. We both are pretty strong willed but
after almost 32 years of marriage, we also are good at compromise.
While our plans grow and simmer in their juices over time, the
"flavors" build too like a wonderful recipe. This is the period
where we always add and subtract ingredients until we have the perfect
"dish" for us. Neither will have gotten everything we wanted but in the end,
it seems the product is always much better than we had imagined.

The major goal for our new kitchen is to create much more room.
We will remove a wall and build a new island/bar. A much better
environment for conducting classes. We will have a far better and more comfortable space for our demonstration classes. You, our students will
have more room for preparing your dishes in class. We are very excited
and we can't wait for you to see it! June 22 will be our Grand re-Opening
Open House, but more about that later.
On June 16, the day we re-open, our Summer Fun Camps begin!
In fact, every night that week is full of great classes including our
BBQ Ribs Workshop on Saturday. This workshop is one of our very
favorites because it's fun and the end result is soooooo tasty!
On July 3, there will be a new Basics of Cooking Course beginning
and July 1st, I am continuing the first session with my new (by request)
Intermediate Basics of Cooking Course. If you really like to cook
or just would like to indulge yourself with all things food, these are the classes for you. I have never had so much fun teaching and my students
have been those who literally jump up and down with the sheer glee of cooking absolutely great meals! I so hope you are able to attend,
I am sure you will love it.
