In Session five of the Basics of
Cooking Series you are going to learn to prepare potatoes, rice, pasta, and
polenta. We will also steam, sauté, grill, and bake various fresh
vegetables. We will also enjoy them with Grilled Chicken, a fresh Green
Salad, and of course, fresh fruit with cheese for dessert. |

Join Bob and Mardi for a wonderful workshop
on Prickly Pear! You will learn proper canning techniques, how
to harvest the prickly pears, and how to make some delicious
jelly. This workshop will be taught in our outdoor kitchen, so
comfortable (light and cool) clothes and sneakers! Each student
will make
6 pints of jelly to take home.
